Founded in 1978 by John William (Jack) Goodfellow, the company is now operated by his three sons who have been working at J.W Goodfellow since its beginning. John, Bruce and Robert are also qualified National Hardwood Lumber Association inspection school graduates (NHLA).

J.W. Goodfellow Forest Products is a wholesaler and exporter of high quality north american hardwood products, manufactured, Kiln Dried and graded according to the rules and sales codes of the National Hardwood Lumber Association (NHLA).

J.W. Goodfellow manufactures and markets these main species of Eastern North American Hardwoods : Hard Maple, White Birch, Yellow Birch, Aspen, Beech, Northern Ash, Basswood, Cherry, Soft Maple, Red and White Oak, etc. J.W. Goodfellow specializes in high quality Hard Maple (No. 1 & No. 2 White). All of J.W. Goodfellow’s hardwoods are dried on the revolutionary Grooved Kiln Sticks.

Grooved Kiln Sticks are a revolutionary drying stick that guaranties absolutely no discoloration (or sticker stain) due to kiln drying on ordinary or fluted sticks thus maintaining a clear stain-free surface on the lumber.

J.W. Goodfellow exports 90% of its production to U.S.A., Europe and the Pacific Rim. J.W. Goodfellow’s wood is used in the production of a multitude of products : flooring, furniture, architectural moulding and millwork, kitchen cabinets, solid-wood venetian blinds, caskets, hockey sticks, and many other uses…
