Kiln Drying
J.W. Goodfellow takes immediate precautions to lath (sticker) all of their incoming freshly sawn green hardwood lumber on Grooved Kiln Sticks within 24 hours of arrival at their yards. This wood remains on sticks outside under cover for a period ranging from 1 to 4 weeks (air drying). Then it is placed into J.W. Goodfellow’s dehumidification dry kilns for final kiln drying. The kiln drying period varies from one week to one month.
